Getting Started
Since arriving on the market, we were eager to get their hands on a Tegra Note 7! Here in its first iteration, we particularly enjoyed these few days of testing which revealed a relatively powerful and autonomous tablet daily.
At first glance, we agree on the fact that the design adopted is clearly not in tune with the times with these broad borders. But on the other hand, we can see this as a way to stand out from its competitors design 7 and 8 inches, with a rather special design (for players?). Made entirely of plastic, the tablet features a 7-inch screen rather good and two stereo speakers on the front which are also convincing.
Placed side by side, the left and right of the Tegra Note 7 borders are far more imposing than the Nexus 2013. On the top and bottom, it is the opposite: the Nexus July 2013 is a little wider than a Tegra Note 7 remains still nice in hand

The design of the Tegra Note 7 looks more like a Nexus July 2012 to version 2013, for example. For a first draft, it is still so bad that even if NVIDIA would surely have done better. As we mentioned earlier, this tablet is not doomed to overthrow the market, but to simply offer an alternative for the big players on Android. Final note: When the tablet is held in portrait mode to play for example, hands are involuntarily hide a portion of each speaker. It is impractical playing unconnected headphones.
At the bottom of the screen, NVIDIA aligns development councils Google adopting sensitive touch keys. In landscape, the left side features a suite of useful connectivity. We can see such a micro-USB 2.0 port, a micro-HDMI 1.4 port and a mini-jack audio 3.5 mm (reflecting good sound quality) port. Finally, the power button is positioned vertically.
At its head, the Tegra Note 7 includes a slot compatible up to 128 GB Permanently open micro-SD cards, this player may sometimes acting up on switching on the SD card, which has a hard enough clip. Next, we find the volume keys.
Put on the belly, the Tegra Note has a back with a rather unique design. Obviously, we are certain that it will not please everyone but we should not forget the fact that NVIDIA has designed its tablet for gamers. So, this large plastic strip just improve grip and comfort in hand.
Surprise! We find a passive stylus embedded in the top left corner / that we detail you more depth later in the test.
In contrast to the stylus is now a back sensor, it is 5 million pixels, produces photos in 2592 ? 1944 pixels and videos 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The tablet is far from perfect, but it still has some notable advantages: stereo speakers , grip reinforced , passive stylus , support micro SD , screen good quality and observance of Google’s development on Android 4.0 + .
The cover
Normally, the sliding cover (or Slide Cover of its official name) will be offered as a gift to purchase a Tegra Note 7. If this is not the case, it is always possible to find it as a third accessory in all shops that have NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 in their product catalog.
To make a tour of the property, within the Slide Cover is dressed in a sort of velvet and be able to turn on and off the screen each opening (via proximity sensor). Unfortunately, we wonder about the sustainability of the plastic hinge in time.

Quality Screen
In comparison to a Nexus 7, 2013, the Tegra Note 7 stands up very well as its screen quality. When talking about screen quality, we mean a whole: color quality and pixels, viewing angles, responsiveness, slip of the finger on the slab, and all that follows … Here I go not to say that Nvidia has a strict but almost! Actually, I have a complaint to make about the whites who are not as good a Nexus 7, 2013. Yet the technology is the same. And of course, the definition is nowhere near that of the Nexus 7, 2013, despite a fairly close price positioning: when Tegra Note merely 1280 x 800 pixels, the Nexus July 2013 goes up to Full HD 1080p .

Viewing angles

Software Interface

In DirectStylus mode, we find a fairly standard feature that allows a section of the screen. In this screenshot, you will be able to write or draw over with the color or colors of your choice, but also add pictures and then share it to your friends.
As the name implies, Draw and Write are two applications that allow you to take notes and draw. Much about taking notes as drawing, you can change the size of the mine by tilting the pen at an angle. As with past iterations of products with Tegra 4, NVIDIA has focused on energy saving in a dedicated menu. For a product to 200 euros and especially for a tablet, it will not be clearly expect exceptional quality, but still usable. Performance
At the other end Tegra 4 we’ve tested like the Tegra Note 7 tends to be less heat that a Tegra 3 (HTC One X for example). There has certainly been some improvements from NVIDIA on this point. Autonomy

Our Verdict
design
Although we reproached him for imposing borders, Tegra Note 7 is still very nice in hand. While imposing a product, but conveys a feeling not so unpleasant. For his first real Android tablet, Nvidia has chosen a dark plastic seems strong enough, but what will it over time?
