Before I begin, I want to say that I do not profess to be an expert. As Christmas is approaching, I wanted to purchase a new smartphone. And I can assure you that the choice was very difficult, given that suggest the electronics giants today. For my part, I ended up choosing the Note 3, but it is almost for the title of this article is “Xperia Z1? The pros and cons “or” LG G2? The pros and cons. ” Ultimately, there is no perfect smartphone. A terminal is perfect when is best to use to make you think.
Let me begin with what I liked most with this smartphone. First, autonomy. I use my smartphone as a hub of communication (Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Instagram, SMS, etc..). Add to this reading, music, video pause, search …. Note 3 like the wonderful day without having to worry about saving energy. 3200 mAh battery is really felt.
Regarding performance, it seems that Samsung has put the package there: quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 2.3 Ghz 800, 3 GB RAM (2 GB for against the Xperia and LG Z1 G2). Added to this is the stability of the Jelly Jean Version 4.3 of Android. The result was a fluid that terminal hardly bug (I still managed to crash). The image is excellent. Normal because of a Full HD SUPER AMOLED.
Another feature of this device is of course the famous S Pen. Note 3 of the stylus responds wonderfully well and its use is very ergonomic. Note also that everything you could love S4 (without considering the size), you end up on the Note 3. We’re talking about those little features like Samsung, as Air Gesture (scroll through the photos in an album without touching the screen), Air View, the small thumbnail on photos, etc.. Also note that the Note 3 can serve as remote.
Regarding the design and ergonomics, again, not much to say. The Note 3 vaguely resembles a Note 2, except that it is smaller but with a larger screen (space on the edges economy). The rear faux leather is pretty nice for hands, even if an image, it does not always look tempting. The flaw of these phablettes: they are large and it will provide a sufficiently large pocket

Note 3 is perfectly suited to users who abuse their smartphone and can not stand bugs. But as nothing is perfect, here are some small flaws that I could see. First, the sound. Not that it is zero. But there is better. And the position of the speaker is, in my opinion, not ideal. And according to some sites, the display Note 3 would have proved more fragile than the Note 2, after a crash test.
And of course, if the consumer hesitates, it is because there is still a large number of features and specifications already available but which are not present on the latest high-end Samsung. All is whether you need. Start with the biometric sensor of the iPhone 5S. At the moment, the only recent to have this type of sensor Android smartphone, the HTC One Max. It may be necessary to wait for the Galaxy S5 to get one on a Samsung.
Note also that compared to its rivals Xperia Z1 and LG G2, AFN Galaxy Note 3 is highly questionable, or at least on paper. Indeed, the Xperia Z1, you still a camera 20 megapixel (MP for 13 against phablette Samsung). For its part, the LG G2 already has an optical image stabilizer (against a digital stabilizer for Note 3), with the same number of pixels. I would also like to point out that one of the features of the Sony Xperia Z1, Sony and highlights on its commercials, is that the Z1 has IP 57 certification, which allows it to take pictures under water.
The other question to ask is: are you kind of patient? If I ask this question is because the Customer Electronics Show 2014 is not far off. And we should expect some surprises. According to some speculations, Samsung could introduce Galaxy S5, a waterproof smartphone with a retinal biometric sensor. It also speaks of a Galaxy Note 3 Lite version that will cost less. Time will tell.
